Suffolk-based songwriter Bessie Turner unveils breathtaking debut EP “22:22”
This new body of work follows a string of successful releases from 2017 and includes electrifying singles “Words You Say” and “Big Sleep”.
Bessie Turner is a bit of an anomaly in the current music landscape, one dominated by artists that more often than not over-produce and under-achieve. Rather than succumbing to this prevalent banality, Turner has created her very own world filled with heartwarming storytelling and bewitching hooks.
Turner’s first extended offering 22:22 is a testament to her skill as a songsmith and combines a dizzying range of genres and styles into a sound reminiscent of Julie London fronting Bright Eyes (Now there’s an idea…). Highlights include the alt-rock technicolour of "Words You Say" and dreamy sequence of "Casa".
The EP was recorded by George Perks ( Dream Wife/Black Foxxes) at The Crypt Studios.
