Watch: Benjamin Clementine - "Condolence"
Fast-rising North London artist Benjamin Clementine announces his second EP, Glorious You, and new UK/European tour dates with the video for “Condolence”.
Shot in stunning black and white and featuring Clementine wandering city streets and isolated moors, “Condolence” portrays an artist growing evermore in confidence. With off-cut hip-hop beats rumbling beneath stoic bellows and trickling piano, “Condolence” is arguably Clementine’s strongest and most direct cut to date.
Speaking of his career to date, Clementine said: “No one can really stop you from doing what you want to do, but only yourself. I am from Edmonton, North London, where the youths are apparently said to be quite rowdy and criminal minded. But as my English literature teacher once remarked; ‘there are no requisite differences between hearsays and where frogs play; they are all full of categorical shit’”.
