Alma Leta finds ethereal pop prowess on new offering, "Aphrodite"
Californian Kiwi Alma Leta finds her inner goddess with delicate, heavenly new track, "Aphrodite".
Currently residing in New Zealand, 23 year old Alma Leta was born with songwriting running through her veins. With musical grandmothers on both sides of her family, it was only fate that allowed Alma Leta to find her musical streak sooner or later.
"Aphrodite" presents a beautiful, and near phsychedelic soundscape. Piano keys trail delicately through the breathtaking melody, which Alma Leta only emphasises with her whispery vocals.
With small spells of electronica to break up the melody, "Aphrodite" is a pinpoint in finding a pure, ethereal sound, and is surrounded by a message for women around the world.
Speaking about the track, Alma Leta explained, "I get a kick out of writing songs that tell a story. Aphrodite is embedded with little metaphorical nuggets that acknowledge the challenges many women face during their sexual evolution. I wanted to contribute to this conversation with textured lyrics and flavorsome soundscapes. Under the gloss of this pop song resides a little message from me to the world."
Progressively, "Aphrodite" is a soaring journey through the clouds, bringing a refreshing taste to the overpopulated electronica-pop scene. Collaborator Ricky Simmonds helps Alma Leta with synths, bass, and piano.
