Album Stream: El Perro Del Mar – Pale Fire
El Perro Del Mar drops her eagerly awaited new album Pale Fire this coming Monday (12 November) via Memphis Industries. An artist whose sound has consistently developed over the course of four albums, Pale Fire sees Sarah Assbring take full control over production and direction – revealing an album of incredible depth, integrity and grace. A natural successor to the darkened tones of 2009′s Love Is Not Pop, Pale Fire revels in the nineties; with flourishes of Blue Lines-era Massive Attack and Madonna, circa Blonde Ambition. From the rousing new single ‘Hold Off The Dawn’ to the heart-breaking ‘I Was A Boy’ and epic ‘To The Beat Of The Dying World’ – Pale Fire is no doubt a career best and further cements Sarah Assbring as one of the most important players in Swedish music.
The Line Of Best Fit hosts two El Perro Del Mar shows this coming week. Saturday, 10 November sees her make an appearance on the Best Fit Stage at the Fear Of Fiction Festival in Bristol alongside Syron, Chad Valley and Glass Animals (tickets).
