Back at the end of March, Brighton band Phoria impressed us with ‘Red’, a track from their debut Bloodworks EP and now, with a full stream, they’re set to do it all over again.
The gentle crispness of the aforementioned single is present throughout and while that remains a standout, there’s plenty more to see here. From the broody, shuffling opener ‘Posture’ to the sweeping pop of ‘Scopes’, a track that rises steadily before fragile synth laded choruses gush out.
While those tracks soar with emotional energy, the five-piece also show their capability for the restrained with ‘Once Again’ all the while maintaining their earthy atmospheric aesthetic.
Stream the EP in full below.
The band play live at The Old Blue Last on 18 April while Bloodworks is out via Akira Records on 28 April.
