My Bones dazzle with sleek new single "Treehouses"
London-based twosome My Bones are sharing new single "Treehouses" on Best Fit ahead of their London show on 6 July.
"Treehouses" is a nebulous gem with soulful Låpsley-style vocals, jerky rhythms, and a slinky bassline. It's smooth as silk in places, and jagged in others, rarely conforming to one idea or lingering in one style for too long. My Bones dash through pop, R&B, folk, electronica, and more as they get ready to take on the world.
Speaking about the single, the pair say: "'Treehouses' is the first of a collection of songs born out of scattered recording sessions over the last six months. We lean towards dreamy and nostalgic/melancholic tracks exploring things like youth, mortality, love, and loss..."
My Bones play the SPHERE audio-visual live showcase at Dalston's Birthdays on 6 July with DGRT and Grass Temple.
