Ahead of his slot at this year's End of the Road Festival, Saddle Creek-signed songwriter and producer Sam Evian takes our Q&A.

What's your present state of mind and being?

Soft, centered, gentle and kind

What's the most overrated virtue?

Virtues are too rare to be overrated

What's the most important thing you've learnt from your parents?

What's the most desirable quality you look for in romantic partner?

What and where was the greatest meal you ever ate?

Grandpa’s spaghetti and meatballs

What's your most treasured possession?

Free will

What was the last dream you had about?

If you could say something to your 15-year-old self, what would it be?

It’s alll gonna be ok.

You’re playing at End of the Road this year, our favourite festival in the UK. Which other artist on the line-up would you absolutely love to collaborate with?

Too many to name but I would love to record with Cate Le Bon.

And finally, who would you most like to apologise to and why?

I apologize to all of the plants, animals and future generations of humans for our inability to evolve and take care of our environment

Sam Evian plays at End of the Road Festival which runs from 29 August - 1 September.
