Tove Styrke works her magic on Lorde's "Liability"
Turning Lorde's disastrously sad and introspective ballad "Liability" into a bouncing pop song is no easy feat, but Tove Styrke did just that.
Ahead of sharing the stage with New Zealand's favourite daughter, Styrke has shared a demo version of "Liability". She's heading out on the road with Lorde in North America early next year, so it's only fitting that this is the track she's chosen to rework.
Following in same vein of her latest single "Mistakes", Styrke's love of vocoder is clear as she makes "Liability" into a sad song to which you could find yourself dancing on your own.
The demo is a pitstop for Styrke, who even teases upcoming new material with her cropped screenshot artwork. She's spent the past year figuring out the mathematics of pop while finishing up what will become her third album.
