Chris Brown sued by Frank Ocean's cousin
Chris Brown is facing a fresh batch of legal trouble, finding himself on the recieving end of a lawsuit from Frank Ocean’s cousin.
The incident refers to a scuffle that ensued at a recording studio last year between Brown’s entourage and the R&B golden boy’s own. Sha’keir Duarte is now claiming for unspecified damages after Brown’s crew allegedly punched and kicked him, leading to a concussion.
Duarte is said to be suing for assault, battery, as well as emotional trauma. Brown is embroiled in the lawsuit himself too, accused of taunting Duarte and threatening to shoot him.
Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos told Billboard: “This is what gives lawyers and lawsuits a bad name is garbage like this.”
Ocean has previously stated that he would not be pressing charges against Brown himself, despite suffering hand injuries from the clash.
