Arrested Development soundtrack release in the works
For fans of the formerly canceled series, times are good. What with a fourth season now streaming on Netflix, and a possible movie deal on the way. Now it looks event like another Arrested Development offering is in store: a soundtrack compilation.
According to TV Guide, the show’s composer David Schwartz says he’s compiling a selection of music from the series, ranging from ukelele medleys, to excerpts from Tobias Funke’s Fantastic Four musical, to the mock-metal power ballad ‘Balls in the Air‘ from season three, to the Justin Bieber-ish pop song ‘Getaway’ coming from the show’s fourth season.
Schwartz said, ”There are hundreds of pieces , but I think I’ve cut it down to 40 or 50 so far,” adding “I’ve received so many requests and now I’m trying to whittle it down.”
As for ‘Getaway’, a song written performed by fictional pop sensation Mark Cherry, you can listen/download an excerpt of that below.
