Watch: volcano! – Pinata [Best Fit UK Premiere]

volcano!’s recent comeback single ‘Piñata’ is very, very good. With Dirty Projectors-esque vocals and virtually unplaceable time signatures taken straight from the Don Caballero songbook, it’s as fascinating as it is endlessly frustrating.

Now it has a suitably unsettling video featuring the brutal murder of the eponymous toy by the band – who, judging by appearance alone, seem to be the American answer to the Young Knives. Possibly.
