Watch: Philco Fiction – Oh Future [Best Fit Premiere]

Norwegian experimental pop trio Philco Fiction have long been a staple of Best Fit’s Scandinavian coverage. The Oslo outfit are releasing their third album this year and we’re delighted to unveil these wonderfully weird visuals for teaser track, ‘Oh Future’.

Filmed in what could easily pass for a ‘fun science’ style kid’s TV show set – complete with a backdrop of giant circuit diagrams and overzealous liquid throwing – the video centres on vocalist Turid Solberg leading a Kylie cum Destiny’s Child dance routine. There’s a measurable symmetry between the scatty choreography and the composition’s spasmodic R&B flecked bass jerks and warbling synthesizers. A splendid re-introduction to one of our favourite Nordic acts.
