Ghost Loft first whispered sweet, seductive nothings in our ears earlier this year with the Hypem-topping ‘Seconds’. The equally broody ‘So High’ followed, increasing our adoration for L.A. producer, Danny Choi tenfold; now we’re delighted to bring you the exclusive first play its dreamlike accompanying visuals.
Documenting the kind of steamy affair that often occurs when the barrier separating artist and muse disintegrates – a cigarette-puffing cameraman and a stunning model in this case – the video remains tactful and tender, in spite of the notoriously seedy themes. Aided by softly kissed pianos and a chugging guitar line, drawn open to reveal shuddering bass oscillations and spiky hi-hat flicks; Choi’s rich falsetto – although smooth and sensual – retains a sense of glacial detachment, swept along on the intoxicating RnB melody.
