Here’s the Best Fit exclusive of the new Tom Williams & The Boat video, a self-produced illustrated clip that’s kind of like an indie version of the A-Ha classic.
This is what Tom himself had to say about it:
“I had never done an animation before and foolishly volunteered myself to do one, when talks of the next video came up. It involved me tracing over 1500 stills on a lightbox, putting in about 4-6 hours work a day for a couple of weeks. I think we were going for something between Daniel Johnston and A-Ha, I think it looks great! I’m not sure I’d ever do it again, but massive thanks have to go to Anthony Jarman who did the filming and pulling it all together and Sarah Maycock who scanned in every one of the stills, the one task more monotonous than shading in my beard a thousand times!”
The band are about to embark on a series of fan-voted tour dates, set-up via DetourJam. Tickets are available here, and the full dates below:
