The Decemberists get new animated video, announce two UK dates
A stunning animated video for The Decemberists, ‘The Rake’s Song’ has been made by St.Martin’s College Of Art students. It was created and directed in Moscow, by Alex Dashino and Varvara Volodina. Alex and Varvara are second year students studying Moving Image at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London. The video can be seen below and has been premiered on The Decemberist’s website.
The Decemberists will soon be hitting the shores of the UK, when they arrive to play two shows in London this November, in support of their recent album The Hazards Of Love, both dates are now nearly sold out:
Wednesday 18th November, 2009 - London, Forum
Thursday 19th November, 2009 - London, Coronet
At these shows they will perform both the album in its entirety and a retrospective set comprised of songs from the band’s incredible back catalogue.
