It’s been a mere two weeks since 19-year old Londoner Syron dropped her new single ‘Breaking’ onto an unsuspecting public and within that short time it has categorically become one of the songs of the Summer here at Best Fit.
Stylistically on-trend with the current flock of nu-Garage acts flooding the internets, Daisy Syron Russell stands head and shoulders above her peers with one of the most original and, more to the point, infectious songs around. Her streetwise – almost hardened – look (and rottweiler) that flaunts throughout every frame of the video is no doubt 100% legit. However, it’s Russell’s subtle features, puppy dog eyes and cute smile that soften the edges – complete with a crystal clear soulful vocal that belies her years, Syron has it all. A ready made pop star for the Rinse FM generation.
Join Syron, Foxes and Best Fit Recordings’ own FAYE on October 23 at London’s White Heat for a very special show. Tickets are on sale now and priced at just £6 each.
