Watch: Jonny Fritz – Goodbye Summer [Best Fit Premiere]
“I was in Las Vegas with [American Juggalo director] Sean Dunne to help him shoot a commercial for a reality tv show, explains Loose signed-Nasvhille boy Jonny Fritz, “and we got bored with that very quickly and Sean offered to buy a ton of fireworks, go out into the desert and fire them at me while I danced my ass off.”
Thus marked the concept for the ‘Goodbye Summer’ video, accompanying the lead track from Fritz’s third longplayer Dad Country and the first not to bear his previously-assumed “Corndawg” surname. Dad Country sees the re-christened singer-songwriter’s playful take on alt-country by way of Laurel Canyon reach a perfect balance. The album was produced by Fritz along with Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith.
