Watch: Ren Harvieu – Through the Night (Best Fit Session)
At just 21 years old, Lancashire born Ren Harvieu has a voice that can melt hearts.
Despite her career suffering something of a setback last year – when an accident in a London park resulted in a broken back, three months in hospital and an over-reliance on morphine – she ended 2011 with a BBC Sound Of… shortlisting and next month sees the release of her debut record.
For her Best Fit Session, Ren performed debut single ‘Through the Night’ (also the title of her album) in the elegant surrounding of a West London boozer. She’s on the road throughout the coming weeks with a sold out show at London’s Bush Hall next Wednesday (11 April) followed by an album release show on 23 April at Manchester’s Ruby Lounge. Her record drops on 7 May through Kid Gloves/Island Records.
