Firmly anchored within the new French underground music scene led by La Souterraine, Maud Nadal has had a few projects and collaborations before setting off on her own.
The multi-instrumentalist Frenchwoman played with Melody's Echo Chamber at their beginnings, and is part of psychedelic art-band Moodoïd. She now composes dreamy psychedelic pop songs under the name of Halo Maud, and is gearing up for her first release.
On a very chilly morning in Paris, we found a spot near the Bassin de l'Arsenal, a boat marina linking the Seine and the Canal Saint-Martin where she played for us "Des Bras", accompanied by Olivier Marguerit.
Halo Maud is playing a Best Fit-curated show at Winter Camp Festival on 6 December 2016 in Paris. The show will also feature Barbagallo and Flamingods. Get tickets online.
