Just hours before they played a rapturously received show at London’s St Giles-in-the-Fields church, we cajoled Vermont trio Mountain Man into a nearby guitar store for our second ever Best Fit Session.

We asked for a song and they gave us an exclusive – their take on the traditional folk ballad ‘Come All Ye Fair and Tender Ladies’. As the first few lines of the song rang out throughout the store, we knew that something special was happening, lulling the entire building into a hypnotic, attentive silence.
