A few hours before she took the stage at The Slaughtered Lamb in Clerkenwell, London, we caught up the flirty and intense Norwegian Ingrid Olava for a quick session.
The one time backup singer for her (now-defunct) fellow countryfolk Madrugada, Olava is a known and loved commodity in her homeland but something of a secret to British ears.
Her rendition of ‘Love, Oh Love’ – taken from her latest album The Guest – is a torn, dramatic ballad with heart worn firmly on sleeve.
