Stranded Horse is the musical alias of French songwriter Yann Tambour, known throughout his native land for his work with Encre.
Having been present in the musical world for just about 10 years now, some of that time spent based in Bristol, Tambour has developed a strong style and a distinct sensitivity for dynamics and cadences, centred around the kora, a 21 stringed West African instrument. Stranded Horse plays next week’s End of the Road Festival but we caught up with him back in the spring at Brighton’s Great Escape.
