Rowdy Superstar – Look into the Light (Best Fit Session)
The genre defying Rowdy Superstar presents an utterly compelling proposition.
With an attitude fresh from 77 but a pure naughties conceptualism set against a background of bass-charge electro, he’s worked with the likes of Matthew Herbert, Patrick Wolf and Micachu. This modern Renaissance man also runs his own dance company, design his own clothes and is a fully paid up member of Atari Teenage Riot.
His Best Fit Session was recorded at London’s Shacklewell Arms, the current UK capital’s hipster boozer-du-jour.
Rowdy’s debut Battery is out on 11 July, via Matthew Herb’s Accidental Records – a day earlier (ie tomorrow) he takes over the White Heat club night at London’s Madame JoJos.
