Heidi Spencer – While It's Shining (The Line of Best Fit Session)

Milwaukee native Heidi Spencer popped up on our radar towards the end of last year when she signed to our friends at label par excellence Bella Union. We caught up with Heidi before her show at London’s Union Chapel, back in January.

In an echoey stairwell, she treated us to one of the standout tracks from Under Streetlight Glow her debut on Bella – ‘While it’s Shining’. Its recorded counterpart is a much more epically measured affair but he version Heidi gave us amps up the emotion and desperation – her vocal is beautifully raw, tainted with a raspy, golden list.
