Cloud Nothings – I Forget You All The Time (The Line of Best Fit Session)
Possessed of a voice and songwriting talent that belies the fact he’s barely out of his teens, Cloud Nothings‘ Dylan Baldi channels Robert Pollard and Alex Chilton through the analogue socket of a first generation cassette deck while firmly wearing heart-on-sleeve.
The Cleveland (Ohio) band’s self-titled debut – out now on Wichita - comfortably fills one side of a C60 but what it loses in length is makes up the quality of the shimmering, emotive garage pop thererin. We called it a ‘nostalgic, exhilarating soundtrack’ for the summer back in, erm, January….and a month later we caught up with the band just before their first London headline show for an exclusive The Line of Best Fit Session.
