Caitlin Rose – Learnin' To Ride (The Line of Best Fit Session)
A strong week for the female singer-songwriter contingency here at TLOBF. On Monday, we brought you an exclusive performance from one of pop’s leading ladies when Lykke Li revealed a more intimate side with a bare bones version of ‘I Follow Rivers’. Today, it’s the turn of the much acclaimed Caitlin Rose who brings us a delicate and soul searching rendition of ‘Learnin’ To Ride’ – the opening track from her debut full length Own Side Now.
Rose, no doubt one of the most exciting country music prospects around right now met up with us during a brisk February evening in Camden. Performing solo, the stripped back nature of the performance showcases her finest assets: simplicity through aching melody and a natural southern flare that could charm the birds from the trees. Absolutely breathtaking.
