We first encountered Bebe Black via her start turn skydiving from a plane in the Benga video for ‘Icon‘.
The big-voiced Dorset-born singer is due to drop her debut album later this year, with French producer Dimitri Tikovoi (Mikky Ekko, Phoenix, The Horrors) taking desk duties – but she’s kept it low-key for much of 2013, with writing and recording being the order of the day since her debut EP release in February.
Her club-friendly vocal lends itself equally well to a more restrained phrasing and Black stripped back the bombast and strut of recent track ‘Never Forget‘ for something a whole lot more underplayed during her Best Fit Session.
