Alessi's Ark – Time Travel (The Line of Best Fit Session)
If you could take Alessi Laurent-Marke anywhere to record a live performance of one of her sweet, tender folk ditties where would it be? A serene open green field perhaps? Maybe even a canal boat, chugging aimlessly downstream whilst birds cheep away in harmony – one maybe even perched on the shoulder of our young folk starlet for added effect…
What do we do? Take her to a busy roundabout in the middle of East London. No expense spared, whatsoever. Still, as is to be expected from Alessi she makes the best of the situation and – bad smells aside – performs a stunning rendition of ‘TIme Travel’, one of the many highlights from her new album of the same name.
