Pervading every aspect of what makes rock ‘n’ roll so rock ‘n’ roll; The Nude Party are back - and what a return it is.

The band’s latest full-length effort, Midnight Manor, is a venture into the dichotomies of pure rock ‘n’ roll. It’s an addictive and deeply satisfying exploration of the beauty and the pain, the agony and the ecstasy, and the rave up and the come down; all baked into the very grooves of every track on the album.

The intrinsic appeal that supercharged The Nude Party onto the music scene was their ability to cherry pick from any genre they please, celebrating a variety of different aspects of music and arrangements in a way that makes you feel as though you’re hearing it all for the first time.

The result is an unmistakable, endearing ball of indie, folk, psych and good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll. Its '60s touchstones infused with a hefty dose of '70s underground rock with undertones of country will have you drawn in like a moth to a flame, and wanting to unpack all of the elements and relish in them all. “Shine Your Light”, undoubtedly a stand-out, provides a wispy groove shimmering with refracted, reverb-heavy guitars, whilst the rollicking, raucous “Easier Said Than Done” is an instant, foot-tapping, mood-booster.

“Things Fall Apart”, by contrast, sits at the intersection of unadulterated fiery rock and 60s-style pop, chronicling the end of a relationship, with the singer intoning, “Goodbye’s hard to hear / When the reasons why really aren’t clear.”

The band started with a really strong debut album, but Midnight Manor somehow takes this to new heights. You’ll hear the Stones, you’ll hear Lou Reed, you’ll even hear a bit of Alice Cooper in there - and you’ll come away having connected with a new, intensely fulfilling sense of cool.
