When travelling to LA, Jolé penned the next chapter of his sonic journey; and the result is the velvety-smooth, softly-crooning essence that is Silver Lake.

The indie-folk songwriter is no stranger to amassing a soundscape of the serene; he has become a renowned rising star in his own right on account of his deeply personal lyricism, stripped-back musical arrangements and tender rhythms.

Blending his love of folk, indie and electronic music, Jolé takes influence from songwriters such as Justin Vernon, Beck and Chris Martin. Since the release of his debut album last year, he has amassed just over 2 million streams, a sync on American Idol and toured across the UK and Europe.

On writing Silver Lake, Jolé says that at its heart lies simplicity and being present: “I wanted to create something simple, based around the guitar and vocals, putting emphasis on the lyrics. This group of songs are some of my most personal to date and each one holds its own identity. It’s about sharing experiences, travelling the world, soaking in your surroundings and being grateful for what you have. It’s my first self produced release but has turned into a collaborative labour of love with friends and family”.

Beautifully honest and dreamlike in feeling, Silver Lake is the perfect place to slow down, relax, and re-learn solace.
