Following an exciting string of releases in recent months, self-styled ‘Awkward Pop’ artist Belot is back with the perfect blend of quirk and kink in her daring second EP Harmless Fun.

Exploring exuberant melodies and flamboyant rhythms, Belot is continuing to consolidate her vibrant style and musical persona. Delving into euphonious pop, Belot’s latest release is nothing short of pop bliss. Blessing prospective listeners with her dynamic musical ability and pure passion for people, Harmless Fun explores an exciting realm, and a rather colourful and creative narrative.

Garnering an extensive musical background, Belot offers a truly authentic and emotionally-charged insight into her own experiences. She states, “I want painfully honest lyrics about painful and awkward situations – and yes, that does come from my own life, or from my friends’ lives. A lot of the time it’s conversational.”

Consolidating her style over recent releases, Belot’s EP brings her full circle. Offering five fine-tuned and adrenaline-fueled tunes that are sure to resonate with listeners and pop lovers everywhere, she has also dropped a new single “Driving to LA”. She explains, “I think for me, a pop song is something that is going to be so catchy it hurts. I’m going to wake up in the middle of the night and it’ll still be stuck in my head.” Resisting to recline until her thoughts are on paper, 21-year-old Belot may be new to the scene, but her unparalleled recent success will undoubtedly see her soar in coming months.

Offering an exploration into the trials and tribulations of love, leading single “Bed” offers a perfect blend of quirk and kink. Collaborating with regular producer Max Margolis, the two combine reminiscent 60s inspired sounds with dance elements to create something truly unique. “Chaotic” continues the exploration, offering a euphoric insight into her relationship. Fuse elaborate themes with five tracks of pure pop-perfection, Harmless Fun makes for a truly remarkable second EP. Her ambition and truly humble gratitude for her growing fanbase is continuously admirable. In her words, “I’m just in a state of constant grateful shock that I’m getting to make music all the time! So long as enough people listen and care then I’m happy.”
