Buenos Aires via Brooklyn indie-pop singer-songwriter Valerie Teicher aka Tei Shi captured invites us behind the scenes at her sell-out headline NYC Music Hall of Williamsburg show. Photos by Julia Drummond.
Released at the start of the 2017, Tei Shi’s debut LP Crawl Space features “Keep Running”, a knock-out lead track which fuses boisterous R&B fire with sleek, synthy pop gold.
Teicher explains “Keep Running’ was the first new track I wrote shortly after releasing my last EP. It’s a kind of call to arms to someone you love, to take on and confront all of life’s obstacles together. To fight to stay together through thick and thin. A ride or die kind of love.”
We caught up with her recently for a stripped back Best Fit session version of the track in all its glory.
Tei Shi is set for US and Canada dates through September/October.
