The Pool Parties – East River State Park, Williamsburg NY 11/07/10

The Pool Parties are organised by promoters JellyNYC and interestingly used to take place at an empty, abandoned pool in McCarren Park in Williamsburg, hence the name “Pool Party”. After word of mouth spread, the events have since moved to East River State Park on the Williamsburg Waterfront. This is the 5th year of this concert series and they take place each summer. This was the first one of 2010 and featured Fang Island, Why?, and Xiu Xiu teaming up with Deerhoof to play Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures in its entirety.
