An unsung hero of the American indie scene for over two decades, Karl Blau’s star is finally on the rise thanks to Introducing - a collaborative record made with producer wunderkind Tucker Martine - released recently through Bella Union.
A genuine word-of-mouth phenomenon, Blau’s latest is a homage to the classic country music songbook of the late 60s and early 70s. Having wowed audiences at End of the Road Festival over the weekend, Karl and his band made their way to London for a sold-out show at The Lexington and Mathew Parri Thomas tagged along for a pictorial account.
Introducing Karl Blau is out now on Bella Union. He returns for a UK tour in February 2017 which includes a date at London’s prestigious 100 Club - presented by The Line Of Best Fit and DHP. Tickets are on sale now.
