Just Mustard, Porridge Radio, Ghum and Disq play to a hungry, packed and sweaty Lexington crowd for day two of The Five Day Forecast
Day two at The Five Day Forecast? Guitar night. Punters were struggling for space from the moment doors opened as Saddle Creek’s much (and deservedly) hyped Disq opened the night with their slacker emo stylings. Believe the hype. Not letting up, they were followed by London post-punk hot tip Ghum. Porridge Radio, having been recently signed to the excellent Secretly Canadian after gaining a shed load of interest last year, showed the assembled masses why they’re going to be a name on everyone’s lips over the next twelve months. Closing up the night, and continuing the flood of incredible new music from across the Irish Sea, Just Mustard had the plaster falling from the ceiling with their shoegaze-meets-trip-hop-meets-post-punk wall of sound. That’s a lot of hyphens.
The Five Day Forecast continues tonight with Sofia Wolfson, Katy J Pearson, Harrison Whitford and Frances Quinlan
