Yung Lean reimagines Robyn's "Robotboy"
This is the latest track in a series of recent reimagined versions of Robyn's songs, most of which have been lifted from her album Sexistential released earlier this year. "Robotboy" is lifted from Robyn's self-titled album. Yung Lean decided to record his own version of the track, being moved by it after having a conversation with Robyn in their shared hometown of Stockholm.
Speaking about how the collaboration came to be, Robyn says: "I asked Jonatan if he wanted to record his version of 'Robotboy' because I just craved hearing his interpretation of this sad song. I think it was made for you J, the lyrics turn to gold in your version, like you are singing this lullaby to a previous version of yourself 🖤”
