Xav Clarke maps nostalgia and identity on new album Harrison Digital Ford Dust
Bristol songwriter Xav Clarke has announced his new album Harrison Digital Ford Dust, due for release on 10 July along with sharing the record's title track.
The composer and guitarist — known for his work scoring animation and film, and as a member of Lawrence's Mozart Estate — took an unusual starting point for the song: the discovery of an old school yearbook. The track spirals back into a psychedelic showdown between two classmates who have both turned up on non-uniform day dressed as Indiana Jones, each insisting they are the real Harrison Ford.
Harrison Digital Ford Dust follows last year's Fossil Forest and was produced by Mike Lindsay, best known for his work with Tunng and LUMP. Clarke will play four UK dates in support of the release, including an album launch at The Louisiana in his hometown of Bristol on 13 July and a London show at Green Note on 15 July.
