Wunderhorse's Harry Fowler collects a decade's worth of solo songs on surprise LP Blankets

30 October 2026, 15:40 | Written by Hayden Merrick

Harry Fowler, lead guitarist for the band Wunderhorse, has released his debut solo album, Blankets, without any prior announcement. The independently released record collects finger-picked acoustic material he has accumulated since his teens.

In contrast to the Cornwall band's grungy arena rock, Blankets works with a sparse setup of finger-picked acoustic and soft vocal delivery. A run of 300 vinyl copies is available at harryfowler.com. The eight-track album had no promo campaign or prior announcement. See the tracklist and check out the focus track below.

"Stoner Talk"
"Blankets 1"
"Eclipse"
"Forget"
"Blankets 2"
"Perfect Colours"
"Interlude"
"Gameboy"

Wunderhorse were awarded Best Group at the Rolling Stone UK Awards in November 2025. Their second album, Midas, arrived the previous summer. Fowler has played lead guitar for the band since it transitioned from Jacob Slater's solo project into a quartet operation. The band were recently announced as support for Sam Fender on his 2027 Proper Massive Stadium Tour. That kicks off on 3rd June at St. James’ Park, Newcastle and culminates at Wembley Stadium. Extra shows have already been added due to demand.
