Wishy share plans for upcoming album, Nature's Pill

09 June 2026, 23:00 | Written by Kayla Sandiford

Indiana indie rock outfit Wishy have revealed the details of their second album, Nature’s Pill, and unveiled lead single, "Lovesick".

Nature's Pill follows the band's debut album Triple Seven, released in 2024, and their EP Planet Popstar, which dropped last year. Today, "Lovesick" arrives as the first preview of a collection of songs which see Wishy fuse grunge, indie rock, and dream-pop.

Speaking about the single, singer Nina Pitchkite says: “There’s not much more that needs to be said about yearning in 2026, but here it is anyway. Kevin and I are stupidly romantic people who like twee pop so that combination alone was a recipe for a cheeky ‘main character’ song. We really leaned into the overzealous lyrics here because 1) we’re allowed, 2) can do whatever we want and 3) it’s fun :) yay!”

For Nature's Pill, the band worked with producer Ben Lumsdaine in Los Angeles, who also co-produced Triple Seven. Half of the songs were tracked live, bringing the band's experiences of heavy touring to the record. Speaking about where Wishy are at as a band and what kept them driven towards their second album, singer-guitarist Kevin Krauter explains, “Being in an indie band feels bizarre when the world is on fire. What can you do at the end of the day other than carve out some space—at the very least I have my imagination and I can invite others to join me there. At a certain point you need to say fuck it and roll with it.”
