Willow Avalon announces "more darkness, mystery ‘60s country feel" album Pink Pocket Pistol with Jason Isbell collaboration

10 April 2026, 14:30 | Written by Best Fit

Willow Avalon will release her second album this June with Pink Pocket Pistol described as a blend of “lyricism and sassy storylines [with] more darkness, mystery and a ‘60s country feel”.

The Georgia-born and Nashville-based 27-year-old singer-songwriter has also unveiled the track “Cardinal Sin”, which features six-time Grammy-winner Jason Isbell.

“Having Jason on it was icing on the cake; I’ve loved him for forever,” Avalon explains. “I have four Jason Isbell CDs in my car, another 400 in my house, and I have driven around for the last five years harmonising with his voice and thinking how insane it would be to sing with him. I’m still so honoured that it happened.”

Pink Pocket Pistol, was recorded in the space of a week. “I went in with an idea in my head, and we walked out a week later with it fully executed,” Avalon adds. “Every single person in the room was on the exact same page. It felt wonderful hearing the record out of speakers – after really intensive, hard work – exactly what I heard in my head.” The album includes the recent single “Easy On The Eyes” and follows Avalon’s debut record Southern Belle Raisin’ Hell from January 2025.

Avalon will play festivals this summer, including her official Stagecoach debut after a surprise appearance during Zach Bryan’s headline set last year.
