Weezer preview Gold Album with Wednesday duet, "We Might as Well Be Strangers"
Weezer have released their new single, "We Might as Well Be Strangers", featuring North Carolina band Wednesday, the latest preview of their upcoming album, Weezer.
The new track is the second single to be released from Weezer, which appears to be gaining recognition as the "Gold Album", following "Shine Again" released in April. The track features vocals from Wednesday singer Karly Hartzman and pedal steel from Xandy Chelmis, with production from Kenneth Blume (fka Kenny Beats) and Klas Ã…hlund, who is credited for his work with the likes of Robyn, Charlie xcx, and more.
The new album will be Weezer's first release since their 2022 SZNZ series, which included SZNZ: Autumn, SZNZ: Summer, and SZNZ: Spring. It will be their 20th full-length work, and the band are set to embark on their Weezer: The Gathering North American tour, with support from The Shins and Silversun Pickups, following its release.
