Water From Your Eyes announce forthcoming album, It's A Beautiful Place
New York duo Water From Your Eyes have announced the forthcoming album, It's A Beautiful Place, alongside the release of new track, "Life Signs".
The new single is accompanied by a video directed by the band’s own Rachel Brown who says: "Television has always been my biggest passion, and this video was mostly conceived from my desire to experiment with the tropes of genre. But I also think the medium lends itself to the idea of fitting an infinite amount of universes into a little box you can keep in your living room. I wanted the video to encapsulate as many worlds as the song does and to express an entire lifetime within a short few minutes."
These are songs that look outward, conscious of our smallness and questioning our place in the universe while admiring the surrounding beauty. “A song can feel like everything, communicating vast emotional landscapes,” says Nate Amos, “but your favorite album is less important than any person. That person is less interesting than any dinosaur. That dinosaur is less important than any mountain. That mountain is boring compared to any planet. That planet is only a part of a solar system. That solar system is microscopic next to any galaxy. If music and all other human practices are meaningless on a cosmic scale why does it still feel so important?”
Water From Your Eyes will support It's A Beautiful Place with extensive headline tours. The North American leg launches on 22 September in Philadelphia including stops at Bowery Ballroom in New York, Lodge Room in Los Angeles, and Sleeping Village in Chicago. The UK/EU leg kicks off on 13 November at Village Underground in London and ends on 7 December at Lisbon’s Musicbox.
