Watch Phoebe Bridgers reunite boygenius for Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre series
Phoebe Bridgers has shared a three-song performance as part of the Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre series, directed by Lance Oppenheim. The set includes a song from the Primetime film she stars in, and reunites her boygenius bandmates.
The session was shot at the West Village theatre and features songs from Lost Weekend, plus an acoustic version of “On Video” from Primetime, the A24 thriller in which Bridgers makes her acting debut.
"On Video" features Ethan Gruska, while the boygenius trio lineup play on "Haunted" and "Lost Boys". Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus last performed together (on camera) back in November 2023, on Saturday Night Live.
The Sound Check series is produced by A24, A24 Music, and Cherry Lane - the oldest Off-Broadway theatre in New York City. Previous sessions have featured Tame Impala and Blood Orange. All episodes air on A24’s YouTube channel.
Primetime is in US cinemas now and opens in the UK on 30 October. “On Video” is the end-credits song and is included on the official soundtrack album - out now via A24 Music.
