Watch Ibibio Sound Machine perform "Them Say" live in session for The Line of Best Fit
Ibibio Sound Machine, led by Eno Williams and Max Grunhard, perform their Pull the Rope album track "Them Say" live in session exclusively for Best Fit in collaboration with Crouch End Studios.
""Them Say" is about coming to a new place, a new experience of life, being caught between two worlds and ultimately staying strong in one’s own identity," the band tells Best Fit. "It builds from an initial afrobeat rhythm as synth arpeggios, horns and BVs gradually enter to give it a more sweeping feeling which aims to embody the sense of space and distance the track speaks to lyrically."
"Them Say" appears on the band's new album Pull the Rope, which arrived via Merge on 3 May. They play London's KOKO on 6 June. Visit ibibiosoundmachine.com for tickets.
