vegas water taxi return with forthcoming EP, long time caller
London-based slacker-country band vegas water taxi have returned with the announcement of a forthcoming EP, long time caller, alongside the release of new single, "chateau photo".
"This song is about the moment of realisation that you’ve been replaced or excommunicated from a social group after a break up. Obviously it happened when I saw a photo on instagram. It’s a bit of a double edged sword - it obviously hurts quite a lot, but there’s a sense of freedom that comes with it as well. It’s also just part of life, friends come and go, and often come back into your life again. Musically I think I was aiming for Oasis meets Silver Jews - think we nailed it," vegas water taxi's Ben Hambro says.
Recorded with Folly Group’s Louis Milburn, the EP picks up where their 2023 debut album, things are gonna be alright, left off. In celebration of its release, the band will play a show at The Ivy House on 21 November.
