Van Morrison to play five-night residency at new Olympia venue

11 May 2026, 10:00 | Written by Best Fit

The legendary singer-songwriter Van Morrison becomes first residency artist confirmed for British Airways ARC following its June opening.

Van Morrison will headline a five-night residency at London’s newly opened British Airways ARC venue this September, marking the first time the artist has committed to multiple nights at a single London location in recent years. The shows are scheduled for 23, 24, 27, 28 and 29 September 2026, and will be fully seated.

The residency follows the venue’s official opening on 16 June and positions Morrison as the first act to take up that format at the space, which is part of the wider Olympia redevelopment. British Airways ARC is operated by AEG Presents.

“We are thrilled to welcome Van Morrison as the very first artist to have a residency at our brand-new venue,” said Lucy Noble, SVP UK venues at AEG Presents. “The shows are set to be incredible.”

The announcement arrives a month after Morrison received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Jazz FM Awards 2026. He has also recently released a new album, Somebody Tried To Sell Me A Bridge, which sees him return to blues material with interpretations of songs by B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Lead Belly and others.

Alongside the London dates, Morrison is due to appear at several European festivals in 2026, including the Montreux Jazz Festival. The Olympia residency offers a comparatively more intimate setting than his recent arena and festival appearances.

Tickets go on sale at 9.00am on 15 May 2026.
