
Usher's Super Bowl halftime show is nominated for an Emmy Award
The full nominees list has been revealed for the 2024 Emmy Awards.
2023’s record-breaking and Emmy-winning inaugural Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show starring Rihanna was the most-watched musical performance of the year. Following his own Halftime Show, back in January, Usher is now nominated for the same award – Outstanding Variety Special (Live) – alongside producer Jay-Z.

Elsewhere, among the nominations for the Emmys, Lionel Richie is nominated for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special as an executive producer of The Greatest Night In Pop, whilst Atticus Ross, alongside Leopold Ross and Nick Chuba, have been nominated for two awards Shogun – Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) and Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music.
