TYSON joins forces with Nosaj Thing and Coby Sey on new track, The Edge

"The Edge" is TYSON's first solo release since Chaos EP, which dropped last year. The track arrives on Ladies Music Pub Records, which TYSON co-founded, and features production from Nosaj Thing (Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Toro Y Moi) in addition to vocals from Sey. It sees her explore control and resentment, channelling her frustration with power imbalances.

"I wrote ‘The Edge’ in 2023 in a fit of rage and frustration, and it captured a side of me I don’t often show to the outside world," TYSON explains of the track. "The song speaks more broadly to power dynamics in relationships, which I write about a lot, but the real story for me grew from power plays I experience too often as a woman in an industry dominated by men. It feels important that I made it with two long time male collaborators who are genuine supporters, Nosaj Thing and Coby Sey. I love the introspective lyrical wisdom and angelic vocals Coby adds."
