Jamaica-born, NYC-based multidisciplinary artist TYGAPAW has announced their third album, Together You Gather All Power Applied Worldwide, and shared lead single "Duppy Know Who Fi Frighten".

Together You Gather All Power Applied Worldwide, an acronym of TYGAPAW — the project of multidisciplinary electronic artist Dion McKenzie — arrives after their 2023 album love has never been a popular movement.

"Duppy Know Who Fi Frighten" arrives as the first introduction to the new work as a sound performance which interprets the Jamaican proverb as "those who exploit know exactly who to target and who not to try", addressing proximity to the exploitative practices of capitalism while questioning how to create more inclusive environments.

The process of creating Together You Gather All Power Applied Worldwide began back in 2023, when McKenzie was in the first year of their transition, with the record capturing much of the intensity of that time and the deplatforming they experienced as a result of their physical changes. With vocal contributions from collaborators Juliana Huxtable, Precious Okoyomon, Ms. Carrie Stacks, Khanyisile Mbongwa and SUUTOO, the album also aims to channel McKenzie's Jamaican roots with both joy and defiance, placing an emphasis on Jamaica's contribution to the world of electronic music.
