TR/ST drop surprise self-titled EP featuring Jake Shears and Cecile Believe
TR/ST – fka Trust, the musical alias of producer, singer, and performer Robert Alfons – has dropped the surprise release, TR/ST EP.
TR/ST EP features four new tracks in addition to “Robrash”. “Run” featuring Canadian hyperop star Cecile Believe, a cover of the Pet Shop Boys classic 1990 anthem “Being Boring” featuring Jake Shears, the nearly-ambient composition “Evercall”, and an official release of the fan favourite “Slug”, previously only released to YouTube in 2015.
Alfons also confirms they are in the studio working on a new album, expanding their singular sound in ways both cinematic and surprising: “Bigger, better, beautiful, and buried in mud.”
TR/ST has released a string of celebrated albums prior to this EP – TRST (2012), Joyland (2014), as well as The Destroyer - Part One and The Destroyer – Part Two which were both released in 2019.
TR/ST EP is out now via Dais Records.
